An absolutely wonderful predicament. To the sound of leather and steel, she is cuffed at the wrists, and belts cinched at the small of her back and her lower thighs. This frees her little bare feet to kick. "You're going to receive 70 directly on your bare behind." Well, she's certainly in position.
The female guard hands the warden the official Nu West strap off its wall hook, about 2' long by 2" wide. He measures his distance and proceeds to lay on seven sets of 10 strokes. Closeups of Laurie's reddening bottom, and she gasps with conviction. The resounding strokes are counted aloud, which would seem to prevent repeats.
Scene 2: another girl, a tall blonde, is already naked and belted into place. The female guard gets to strap this time, a different, more floppy paddle-shaped tool. Loud cracks and good crying in the echoing studio. Not as dramatic as the first strapping, but this wonderful bench does its job.
Scene 3: a brunette is brought it, fully dressed in a prison dress. Ed Lee himself is on hand for this one. Still dressed, the girl climbs into place and is strapped down by Ed, including some noisy chaining at the ankles. He then raises her skirt and pulls down her pants. Is there anybody who does this better? The female guard lays on 60 hard strokes, which the girl counts out herself, with increasing breathlessness. Good closeups of a heaving, jumping bottom under the onslaught. Conventional NW performance, but nicely done if you like the sterility of an institutional setting and NW's funky delightful carpentry.
